Concrete Crushing to Occur
The mobile concrete crusher will be onsite this week to recycle the concrete pavement.
The recycled concrete and asphalt pavement will be incorporated into the stone base for the new roadway.
Recycling and reusing these materials onsite lessens project cost, decreases truck traffic, and reduces emissions.
Fun Facts:
1 mile of recycled concrete pavement = 1.25 miles of stone base.
1 mile of the recycled asphalt pavement = 5 miles of stone base.
