Update: Week of 10/12/2026
Traffic Alert: During the week of 10/19 southbound Randall Road traffic will be shifted west onto the new pavement. Be alert and watch for this new lane configuration.
This week, work continues on the Randall Road Improvements project, with multiple operations occurring simultaneously. Upcoming construction activities include:
- Miller Road west leg: Complete concrete pavement and curb placement to connect the area of Randall Road at Miller Road. Continue working on traffic signal and street lighting installations. Parkway grading and sidewalk prep work will continue. Begin to place fill south of Woods Creek.
- Bridge Work: Start excavation for piling and begin work on the east half of Woods Creek Bridge. Continue removal of the existing sight screen/retaining wall.
- Retaining Wall Work: Painting of new retaining walls is ongoing.
Traffic Alert:
The Miller Road West Leg Closure Continues
The west leg of Miller Road at Randall Road remains closed. The reopening is scheduled for late October. We will provide an updated timeline as work progresses.
During this closure, a detour route is in place. Drivers should follow posted detour signs:

➡️ From the north on Randall – Use Ackman Rd west to → Lakewood Rd south
🔁 Alternate Route:
⬅️ From the south on Randall – Use Algonquin Rd west → to Lakewood Rd north

Please note: Bradford Lane between Miller Road and Ashford Lane will be closed by the City of Crystal Lake while the Miller Road detour is in place.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and use the designated detour route when traveling through the area.
