Signal Activation Update
The new signal at Alexandra Blvd. and Randall Rd. has received power and activation has been scheduled for Monday, April 28th. Please be aware that this new signal will be active and pay attention in the area. Once activated, the signal will become a permanent part of the Randall Road improvements, offering full protected access to and from Alexandra Blvd. in all directions.
Upcoming Construction
The week of 4/28/25, the contractor will continue with the removal and stockpiling of topsoil, which will be reused later in the project. This will prepare the area for temporary pavement installation, including placement of an earthen base for the widened pavement. Installation of storm sewer crossings to maintain water drainage is scheduled to begin during the week pending embankment placement. This work will require temporary lane closures as the crews install the pipe across the road, followed by asphalt patching of the trenches. With the temporary lane closures, please be aware of merging traffic and possible slowdowns in the area. Your patience is appreciated as crews complete this important work in areas with traffic flowing nearby. All work is weather-dependent, and the schedule could change accordingly.
Reminder: Construction Zone Speed Limit is 40 MPH 🚧
As work continues along Randall Road, please remember that the speed limit through the construction zone is 40 MPH. Local police are enforcing this new speed limit. Slower speeds help protect workers, drivers, and everyone passing through the area. Reducing your speed to 40 MPH adds only about 27 seconds to your trip—but that small change plays a big role in helping ensure everyone, including our crews, gets home safely.
