Signal Activation Update
Activation of the new signal at Alexandra Blvd. and Randall Rd. has been impacted by an unforeseen delay in power service from ComEd. Power is now expected to be delivered by the end of next week. Once energized, the signal will be activated and will become a permanent part of the Randall Road improvements, offering full protected access to and from Alexandra in all directions.
Upcoming Construction
The week of 4/14/25, the contractor will be filling in the recently removed medians from north of Acorn Ln./Polaris Dr. to Ackman Rd. to prepare for temporary pavement. Work on the parkways continues with the removal and stockpiling of topsoil, which will be reused later in the project. This will prepare the area for temporary pavement installation, including placement of an earthen base for the widened pavement. Temporary lane closures may be in place during construction.
