Update: Week of 9/07/2026
This week, work continues on the Randall Road Improvements project, with multiple operations occurring simultaneously. Upcoming construction activities include:
- Construct roadway embankment, from north of Polaris Drive to Woods Creek Bridge.
- Construct new sanitary and storm sewers at Miller Road.
- Construct roadway embankment at Miller Road.
- Continue installation of new street lighting.
Expect frequent southbound lane closures through the work zone while crews work.
Traffic Alert: The Miller Road West Leg Closure is in Effect
The west leg of Miller Road at Randall Road is now closed. The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately 8 to 10 weeks.
During this closure, a detour route will be in place. Drivers should follow posted detour signs:
🔁 Detour Route:
➡️ From the north on Randall – Use Ackman Rd west to → Lakewood Rd south
🔁 Alternate Route:
⬅️ From the south on Randall – Use Algonquin Rd west → to Lakewood Rd north

Please note: Bradford Lane between Miller Road and Ashford Lane will be closed by the City of Crystal Lake while the Miller Road detour is in place.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and use the designated detour route when traveling through the area.
