Update: Week of 7/27/2026
Traffic Alert: The intersection of Alexandra Boulevard at Randall Road is scheduled to reopen on July 24, weather dependent.
This week, work continues on the Randall Road Improvements project, with multiple operations occurring simultaneously. Upcoming construction activities include:
- Curb and gutter installation from Alexandra to the north project limits (Ackman Road)
- Pavement preparation and concrete pours from the south project limits (Acorn/Polaris) to Woods Creek Bridge
- Preparation for curb and gutter installation from the south project limits to Miller Road
- Sidewalk preparation and concrete pours from Village Road to Angela Lane
- Bridge and roadway parapet forming and concrete pours at the Woods Creek bridge

- Continued topping work on newly installed retaining walls
- Staining of the concrete walls along the bridge
- Retaining wall work at Miller Road bridge
- Installation of street lighting infrastructure
Expect frequent southbound lane closures through the work zone while crews work.
Traffic Alert: Miller Road Closure Scheduled to begin Week of August 3rd
The west leg of Miller Road at Randall Road is scheduled to close starting the week of August 3rd. The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately 8 to 10 weeks.
During this closure, a detour route will be in place. Drivers should follow posted detour signs:

➡️ From the north on Randall – Use Ackman Rd west to → Lakewood Rd south
🔁 Alternate Route:
⬅️ From the south on Randall – Use Algonquin Rd west → to Lakewood Rd north

Please note: Bradford Lane between Miller Road and Ashford Lane will be closed by the City of Crystal Lake while the Miller Road detour is in place.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and use the designated detour route when traveling through the area.
Watch for signs in the area and check back for updates as the detour start date approaches.
