As part of the ongoing Randall Road Improvements, the west leg of Miller Road at Randall Road is scheduled to close starting the week of August 3rd. The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately 8 to 10 weeks.
This closure is necessary to allow crews to complete critical roadway improvements, including diverting the tributary channel and removing the existing box culvert that crosses Randall Road diagonally at Miller Road. Once this work is complete, crews will begin constructing the southbound pavement through the intersection and installing the remaining permanent concrete pavement on Miller Road.
During this closure, a detour route will be in place. Drivers should follow posted detour signs:

➡️ From the north on Randall – Use Ackman Rd west to → Lakewood Rd south
🔁 Alternate Route:
⬅️ From the south on Randall – Use Algonquin Rd west → to Lakewood Rd north

Please note: Bradford Lane between Miller Road and Ashford Lane will be closed by the City of Crystal Lake while the Miller Road detour is in place.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and use the designated detour route when traveling through the area.
