Update – Week of 6/8/2026

Traffic Alert:
Alexandra Boulevard closed on June 1st at Randall Road to allow for intersection reconstruction.

  • This closure is expected to last approximately four weeks, weather permitting.
  • This is an intersection-only closure — Alexandra Boulevard will remain open outside of Randall Road.
  • Access to and from Randall Road will remain available via Miller Road and Village Road for key left-turn movements. Angela Lane will remain open for right-turn movements.
  • Closure durations and schedules remain weather dependent and may shift as work progresses.
  • Additional updates will be shared as construction advances.

This week continues the active phase of the Randall Road Improvements project, with multiple operations occurring simultaneously now that the new retaining walls are progressing. Upcoming construction activities include:

  • Continued excavation and earthwork operations from Alexandra Boulevard to Ackman Road
  • Pavement removal, earth excavation, storm sewer and base work at Alexandra Boulevard at Randall Road intersection
  • Fill placement from Miller Road to the south project limits
  • Stone base placement from Miller Road to the south project limits
  • Bridge approach pavement forming at Woods Creek Bridge
  • Continued retaining wall installation and backfilling
  • Continued topping work on newly installed retaining walls

Expect frequent southbound lane closures through the work zone while crews work.
At times, only one southbound through lane on Randall Road will remain open.

Lake in the Hills Sanitary District Work on Miller Road East
The Lake in the Hills Sanitary District will be replacing a house service on the east leg of Miller Road. Please be advised that work will be occurring near the Miller Road pavement. Two-way traffic should be maintained throughout the work. This work is being performed by the Sanitary District and is separate from the Randall Road Improvements project.

We appreciate your continued patience as work on the Randall Road Improvements project progresses.
