Randall Road:

  • Switched northbound Randall Road to the new pavement from Harnish to Huntington/Bunker Hill.
  • Poured two new additional northbound concrete pavement lanes from Stonegate to Polaris, providing four travel lanes for the future roadway
  • Completed concrete infill at the Randall Rd and Algonquin Rd intersection in anticipation of switching westbound Algonquin Rd onto the new proposed lanes.
  • Continued electrical work on foundations and wiring for the street lights and traffic signals at various locations
  • Completed installation of the railing on the southbound retaining wall for pedestrian safety
  • Resumed work on the northbound retaining wall

Algonquin Road:

  • Completed Crystal Lake Road and various other driveways on the north side of Algonquin in anticipation of the traffic switch
  • Landscaping on the north side of Algonquin
  • Continued median installations
  • Switched westbound Algonquin Rd traffic onto the newly constructed concrete pavement. This traffic will remain in the proposed lanes through project completion

Work coming up:

Randall Road:

  • Continued work on various side streets
  • Curb/stone base installation on Stonegate, Huntington and Bunker Hill
  • Various driveway construction
  • Water main construction at Huntington
  • Railing installation near the pedestrian underpass
  • Continued work on northbound retaining wall
  • Installation of the remaining retaining wall at the east entrance to the pedestrian tunnel
  • Earth/concrete removal to be reused as the base for the new roadway between Harnish and Huntington
  • Storm sewer work
  • Concrete pavement installation for turn lanes and gaps from Stonegate to the north end of the project
  • Asphalt installation on Acorn and other side streets

Algonquin Road:

  • Continued landscaping
  • Miscellaneous concrete sidewalk and curbs installation
  • Median installation
  • Work on various side streets and driveways
